I read the news today abt Minister Mentor Lee KY facing Dr Chee in defamation suit against Singapore Democractic Party (SDP). Sigh...i've no rights to comment on anyone, but as a big supporter of MM Lee, i'll always support him. For those who don't know him, especially those friends oversea, MM Lee was the 1st Prime Minister of Singapore from 1959-1990, and led Singapore to independence. My mum used to tell me tat "without MM Lee, Singapore will not be wat it is today", which is apparently very true if ya think about it. I remember durin' one of my undergrad law classes back in Australia, the lecturer talked about MM Lee too, complimented how well he managed the country and he's well-known for his achievements. MM Lee was a law student at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge UK, graduated with double starred 1st class honors. With no doubts, he's intelligent.
Yes i haf no idea about other members of parliament or ministers, but MM Lee is the ONE, the one who "built" Singapore, or so-called "Singapore's founding father". He turned a malarial island into a modern financial center with a first world skyline. I just can't see why there are people still goin' against him, overlookin' his contributions n efforts. Please...people, know wat ya are doin' and don't just show your animosity...it isn't cool!
