Auntie Jen left us today

Auntie Jen left us less than an hour ago today. She was fighting cancer for years. I feel really really sad as she is one of the nicest aunts I have. Why do many of the people tat i like jus left me one by one?

4th November

Sorry for "MIAing" for quite a while. I'm good, jus too lazy sometimes to blog here. What am I busy with? Hmm... last week was busy preparing for an exhibition, and preparing for a talk (as an invited speaker) in NTU. Mum was interested in a house and i had to accompany her to meet the agent and the owner several times, and maybe this weekend too. House is getting bigger and bigger, but people in the house are getting lesser and lesser. Sister has moved out, I've not seen her for quite a while too.

The coming Monday is a public holiday, I hereby wish everyone of you happy and healthy, enjoy the holiday.

Fun weekend

Last weekend i met up with some old friends who i had not seen for ages, e.g. Tom, Zhui, Andrew, Lim, Keng, Simon, etc. Really jolly to see them again. Reached home in the middle of the night, extremely tired but enjoyed myself.

Work trip at Sentosa

We have a project at Sentosa, working on a new technology to be used in one of the existing systems in Sentosa. Therefore today we ran an errand there for a couple of hours. I'm officially a scientist in Singapore, it sounds kinda geek but yeah i'm used to it by now, people gave me a "wow" funny responses or an awkward look when they saw my namecard.

Sentosa is so cool, i always like it there.

People jus dun understand

A friend (not disclosing name) asked me for a loan of S$1000, and it wasn't the first time. I wanna let him learn to earn his own money, so i asked him to help me buy something from JB and I would pay him the transportation + S$1000 (as a token of reward or salary). He got the money, but he's now blaming me and commented in his blog abt me not lending him the money and made him work for it by travelling all the way to JB, etc. Its really so unfair to me. Do ya reckon its worth S$1000 to pay someone to go nearby to help me buy something not even cost more than S$200? It was a really simple job. I was jus trying to help him, let him get the money easily instead of borrowing and has to pay back later. Why people are so brainless sometimes and jus 不明白我的苦心? It reminds me of the gal i really loved and i was doing everything i could to help her, even to sacrifice myself, but in the end she said i was trying to harm her. It really upsets me alot. So anyway I jus wanna say sorry if ya think the S$1000 to make ya spent a few hours to earn it was too difficult or too little, my fault.

Batam trip

My 1st batam trip during the weekend. The scenery was pretty awesome, people were extremely friendly and nice too. Didn't really buy anything beside food, so shopping wasn't that fantastic for me. I stayed in this cabana suit, hmmm.... rather huge but to me it didn't make much difference from the normal hotel room.

Mooncakes

Been havin' lotsa diff mooncakes at home lately. One of the better ones is the Tung Lok's mooncake recommended by mum, which she claimed to be one of the best.

My first long distance after stopping and recovering from those injuries. Completed 21km in 1hr56mins, not too bad! Quite few friends were there too, we all made it. =)

Commercial video

I am in a commercial video for one of our company products. Spent lotsa time doing the shots, even the weekend, but i enjoyed it with the awesome people. I can't disclose the product and entire video yet due to legal issue. But i will jus show a short clip (small part in the video). I find it pretty fun.

Aug 4th

Another month passed. Work was awesome, I enjoyed it so far. Yesterday I was asked to take part in a commercial video to advertise one of our products. I will be in the video and it has to include my voice throughout to advertise the product and usage. i find it pretty fun and hilarious. =)

Visited Nursing home

Early morning we visited Ade's grandma at the nursing home or so called old age care centre. 2nd time of the week we visited, and although the place is a little old, it gave us a feelin' of love and compassion. We are probably going again tomorrow.

The old folks are really friendly, I don't mind visiting them once a week. Initially Ade experienced lotsa grief and loss when her grandma had to leave their family and move into a nursing home. The major reason for sending her to a nursing home is that her health is poor, requiring nursing care that is not available to her at home. But now Ade feels better since she visits her pretty often, and knowing tat she is well taken care of there.

This woman is really nice, she was helpin' the staff to do some work. i was chattin' with her for a while.

Meeting at NUH

This afternoon we rushed to NUH to meet Dr Chong and Prof Lee for a meeting on this new medical technology. I did a presentation on tat, and we all love this new technology (sorry i can't disclose it).... can't wait to start working on it. But i reckon technology like this is important, it helps the patients and the needy.... ya will feel a sense of satisfaction after.

Was busy with Perlyn's wedding today. Took quite lotsa pics with the people, but the pics are not with me. May upload later on.

8 flavoured xiao long bao

Yesterday had the 8 flavoured xiao long bao for supper. Hmmm... not too bad, but the flavoured were not that strong and obvious enough.

Elton John Las Vegas concert

Scientist position

Recently I've been slacking, travelling, and helping out mum and uncle sometimes. The life is rather relaxing and jolly.

I am being offered a "Scientist" position. This appointment/name sounds cool. The pay is about double of my previous pay, or more if I didn't calculate wrongly. I almost couldn't believe it... not sure why this organization/team
is giving me such a good offer. The benefits are really good too. Hmmmm.... wat should I do???

Mum is ok with watever decision I made. She is more concerned about me agreeing to buy the property she recommended. But I really jus wish to buy a small apartment of my own.... I don't need a huge one. I don't understand why old people like huge houses.

Vina performed in Jarkata last week, she said it was quite bad, she made some mistakes. Hmm... Who doesn't make mistake? Work harder next time, dun think abt it for now. =)

Does it hurt??

My toes were bleeding quite badly, now better. Pain in the chest and shoulder too. I am still alive. Some awesome friends were asking me "does it hurt?" Hahaaa... hmmm.... wat ya think?? =) But maybe I am numb, used to it by now... no worries.

God brought her here

I was not feelin' too well this mornin'. Ade came to visit me at my place, really glad to have her with me. She played the electric piano (88 keys professional type) in my room, i was really surprised she can play the piano too. Hmmm... she learnt before but had not been playin' for ages, so was a little rusty, but still not too bad though. All these months if not bcos of her accompany, i would have broken down long ago. =( I really wanna thank God for bringing this kind Angel to me.

I got a gift today, an Amani Exchange belt. I like it, thanks...

She has also lot of bible stories to share, really interesting.

Sunday's gatherin'

Ok as some of ya might know Chris has a gathering this Sunday at his place. Its for the discussion of the xmas performance (in JB). I really dunno who are the invited ones, so please dun ask me. I just received the email too. But of cos ya can jus go with me tomorrow if ya wan. Dinner provided. This time i heard i will be teaming up with 3 other mates for a "say yes" performance. Yes we have ever performed tat before so its not something "wow" or new. Anyway we have few months to prepare. We will also have a short trial and rehearsal on Sunday. As usual please do not bring any camera, ya know Chris... he's very strict. See ya on Sunday.

Farewell at work

Saying goodbye is one of the hardest things to do. My last day at work yesterday, some of the colleagues are really nice... i really wanna rem them forever. Supposed to have a farewell dinner with few of them, but i wasn't feeling too well so cancelled it.

披着羊皮的狼

Today few of my friends were talking about this mutual guy friend, and one of them named him as a 披着羊皮的狼. He looks decent. He did alot of things behind my back which he thought i don't know. He told me he read my blog, and i guess he read my emails too. I am not sure how he hacked into my email account. He knew everything abt me, who I emailed, etc. This is really scary, not sure why he wanna do all these, maybe too free? On the other hand, he is still trying to be nice to me, telling me he wanna be my gd friend, etc. Tats really scary!!!!!!!

Got another bike

I bought another bike at the total cost of S$6829. Dennis who knows the boss managed to get a little discount for me. Anyway i can only receive the bike in about a month time. Many of my friends (e.g. Ade, Keng, Xue, Sharon, James, Ming, Zhangli, Lim, Andrew) were commenting tat the bike is too expensive. Ade warned me "Make sure you will ride it for at least 10 years". Hahaa...

Gifts from Malacca

See wat Ade got me from Malacca. I was really surprised and touched, thank ya so much. The bags were like rather heavy for her to carry all the way back to Singapore.

Ok tomorrow i am on work leave, so much things to do. Morning i've training for my run, afternoon going with some friends to get this bike which costs ~S$7000 depending how the negotiation works. Evenin' rehearsal, then supper after.

週末を超えています

Weekend jus past (soon) like in a blink of the eyes. Ade has gone oversea, i should have followed and apply for leaves for Mon and Tue since i've nothin' much on this weekend. My family stayed in the new place yesterday so i was alone, and later i stayed out too in a hotel. I met up with two old friends for not one, but lotsa drinks last night near where i was staying, had a gd time chattin' with them. We played some guessing games, the loser drinks, was really hilarious!! Maybe i could post some of them here later, e.g. wat is my favorite food, etc. Think we were quite drunk after, dun rem... too tired!

Wat i'm gonna do for today?
I rushed back home in the morning for an appt to sell my bike. I used it for less than 10 times and selling it in a loss of 50%. I've too many bikes at home and i'm gettin' another one soon, one tat is few times more expensive than the one i'm selling... hahaa. Biking is an expensive sport! And today I'm again being invited to become another reviewer for an international journal committee. I feel honored, and so officially I'm the reviewer for a total of 4 international journal committees.... tat means I'll be more busy from now!! I've some papers in hand to review, will try do it today!!!

Next month or Aug: Climbing Mt Kinabalu
Some friends and I are planning to climb Mt Kinabalu next month or so. I'm pulling Ade, CY and his gf, Xing, Jeff, ... along with me. Dun worry i heard its not tat difficult to reach the peak, it takes less than a day. Lets do it together! Anyone interested pls let me know.

2nd June 2011

Thinkin' a day is so far away then in a blink of an eye the day jus passed. Had a long exit interview today although it wasn't my last day. Some common ques... e.g.
1) Wats your plan after this?
2) Any improvements ya could suggest?
3) Any one or thing ya are not too happy abt?
4) Would ya change your mind or wanna stay another 2 months or so?
5) .... ....
.... ....
.... ....
To be honest I totally haf no idea abt my future plan, etc. I will be a poor jobless bedman (not batman) after, struggling in poverty. Can any of ya lend me some money from next month onwards?? Xue yes you you you... can you lend me some gold??? Hahaa... in average I spend abt S$3000-5000 every month. =) OK I will be jobless soon. But nothing beats being able to wake up at noon, have a relaxing afternoon swim, and lunch for more than an hour on weekdays. Everyday feels like a FRIDAY (I love Friday)! This is awesomeness!!

I suspect my mailbox has been traced/hacked. Hmm... i won't blame whoever doing tat, i understand. Anyway today i was rather busy, i wanna complete the 4 reports before i leave the team, so tat i won't leave any extra/unfinished work to my colleague after leavin'. I left workplace at 6, rushed home to change and went to rehearsal. I was late sooo.... lotsa eyes were staring at me when i reached... hahaa. Ok sorry people. I received a gift from Ade, CHOCOLATES. I love chocolates, i dun eat sweets though. Ade mentioned several times abt kisses and i didn't understand her. Now i know wat she meant. Yes i saw the "Hershey's kisses". Thanks Ade, i will give ya a virtual kiss now. =O

Ok many people have been asking abt my bleeding nose these few days. Hmm... it didn't bleed today, and i've seen Dr Tan (Mum's gd friend) days ago. I've been referred to specialist in the hospital this coming weekend. Don't worry abt me, i will be fine. To be frank, i'm not afraid or worried at all. Maybe in this world there's nothin' matters to me anymore. Wat hurt me most is my gd friend who told me he's waiting to see me break down. Daniel, ya dun have to wait, i've broken down as ya should know. Injured nose, leg, shoulder, and hand. Are ya feelin' better knowin' tat?

Aching everywhere

I'm aching everywhere, would really like to thank Xue, Ade, Mummy, Bryan, and Ming for taking care/helping me these two days. =) Today I met up with a friend at One Raffles Quay for lunch sushi, the one i went with kitty. I went to Marina Bay Sands after, one of my favorite places to hangout. A day jus passed like this... so fast.

I would also like to thank those tat called and msged me sending their regards. I am perfectly fine. I will see ya all soon. =)

A day of exhaustion

Yesterday i had two events, boxing in the morning and evening 42km marathon. I'm really fortunate to have some awesome friends who are always there to support me, thank ya very much ppl. i didn't give up no matter how worn-out i was bcos i knew i had these awesome ppl there to support me. I hurt my nose a little and it was bleeding inside. No time to see doc yesterday, will go later.

Sundown 42km marathon was cool, went with some friends. But i was really tired even before the run. James cldn't attend in the last min due to ankle injury.

My nose was bleeding again during the 33km. My towel was like red, so gross. The staff stopped me and asked if i wld like to fall out. Of course i wun wanna give up at tat time, i was only 9km away to the finishing line. Had a tough fight with Dennis. We overtook each other many times throughout the 42km. In the last 4km, he overtook me and ran all the way to the finishing line. I lost to him by 2mins+. BUT he was like almost dead after the run. He couldn't hold his breath, heart pain and even his face was cramped. I was soooo... worried and went to look for the first aids post. The ambulance came right after. Thank God tat he is fine now... i almost lost a buddy. it was partially my fault. =(
