Tokyo Enoshima island

Went to Enoshima island today. Its a small island at the mouth of the Katase-gawa River, well-known for its beach and the Enoshima-jinja Shrine. There are many souvernir shops, inns and restaurants around too. Yes pretty beautiful place to visit... however lotsa walking n stairs to climb.

Shibuya and Shinjuku trips

Today Felix (fr Switzerland) and I went to Shibuya followed by Shinjuku. Lotsa walkin' n we were so exhausted n stopped several times for a drink. This is Shibuya... a pretty gd shoppin' area.

Beautiful Shinjuku which is famous for its shopping and nightlife... there are full of entertainments there. Its also a red light district, we were bein' approached several times, guess wat they asked? =)

Ok updatin' wat i bought today. I bought a black jacket, a pair of black jeans, n this lovely little dark brown bag. I really really like wat i bought today.

Machida shoppin' on Sunday

A Sunday weekend i woke up at 8, n went to Machida shoppin' area which Jesse recommended. It was really crowded along the entire shoppin' street. Yes i agree with him its a wonderful n fascinatin' destination.



There was an event goin' on (which i dunno wats tat) n the street was full of ppl.

Weekend shoppin'

Went shoppin' alone today, but its really cool walkin' around in Tokyo even by yrself. Lotsa shops n restaurants around... n i really really luv the food here. I bought this pair of long pants fr Uniqlo for only S$18, wow seems like lotsa things to buy here. I m thinkin' of buyin' a jacket n other shirts too.

U know wat are these? I saw tat at my workplace's toilets so i know wat they are, however i've not used any yet. I'll let ya know when i figured out how to use. =) Yes they come with the advanced flush devices.

Ok back to some of my favorites n not to elucidate too much on the toilet bowls.

I jus can't stop eatin' sushi here...

Experiencin' the quake

Jesse expounded how common earthquake is in Tokyo, he experienced it many times. He believe i will have a chance to experience it for sure. =) Yes Japan is one of the world's most earthquake-prone countries, and experts believe Tokyo has a 90 percent chance of being hit by a major quake over the next 50 years.

The Tokyo subway system is really complicated, gettin' lost in Tokyo is rather common, even for the japanese themselves. Look at the map.

Today finally got the chance to catch up with Jesse. He brought me to a pretty gd place for lunch, i like the food... thanks Jesse, for the treat n for comin' all the way here to meet me, Arigatou gozaimasu ありがとうございます. =)

Work n work n happy birthday to KX

This is the place i am working at. Japaneses r workaholics, they work till very late, e.g. for Haraguchi San, one of my friends here, he left work at 11pm everyday which really blew me away... wow wow. Today Haraguchi San helped me alot on the admin stuff... there r many nice n lovely ppl here. Prof Kuma. is very nice as well, i had lunch with him today n he explained to me alot on the japanese culture, n where to visit, wat to do in Tokyo, etc.

I ate this today for dinner, it was jus sooooo... gd. =)

Wanted to meet Jesse for dinner today, but i didn't have time to contact him in advance. I m meetin' him tomorrow. And I m thinkin' of visiting one of the beaches here before the arrival of winter.

Today is KX's birthday, wanna say happy birthday to KX.

A day in Tokyo

Quite tired, lotsa things to do, went to do my registration cert, health insurance etc. I luv the sushi at the supermarket, cheap n awesome for supper, only 560yen (S$8+).

I wasn't tryin' to take a pic of her butt... jus look at the food.

I always haf problems buying things like milk, washin' powder, etc... they r all in japanese chars.... i cld only guess. Ya see the pics of cow ya know it should be milk. =)

Forgiveness

Today i realised i was conned by a gd friend. People come in and out of our life, some let ya down and hurt yr pride, some bring ya on cloud nine. I always appreciate the time together bcos i never know how long tat time is gonna last. The more we know the person, the less we may understand him/her. Mum has been teachin' me for the past decades not to trust anyone (esp women), n i still haven't learnt it yet but i've learnt to forgive. Time flies, everything changes, friends seem to scatter, wat we left with is nothin' but the remainin' friends n luv ones who r still around us. I m not carryin' my anger or holdin' any grudge, not to anyone. Life goes on n i am happy with my life. When you forgive someone, you are actually settin' yourself free.

Promoting colgate toothpaste

Today took a pic with baby dada, n we were saying the word "E"... haha. We were advertisin' for colgate, the whitenin' toothpaste. :P Ok colgate pls contact us....

Jus kiddin'... i dun use colgate toothpaste... not sure abt baby dada. Ok serious now!!! These few days i m dashin' to finish a journal to be published... it's drivin' me crazy... so much work. I met Ivor yesterday, who was introduced by Desmond last week. He's a very nice guy... so I thought of collaboratin' with him to do some work, publish some papers, or jus casual discussion even in the end we haf nothin' to collaborate. I like meetin' nice ppl. But yesterday i felt so sorry bcos he was very busy, he only able to meet up around 7pm, n explained tat he was so busy, n anyway in the end we could only meet up for a while n he needed to go off. Hmm... maybe i shouldn't haf bothered him... he's a busy man. And i think i should haf asked him if he likes to collaborate beforehand, it was me who wanted to collaborate/discuss n maybe he doesn't want it at all... i feel so sorry... i shouldn't be so selfish.

Went joggin' with Bryan today. Days ago i ran with Chongyan, n last week i ran with Joel. I injured myself two weeks ago so i didn't really enjoy the run lately. Oh my birthday is near... so excited. =) It reminds me tat i can be a grandpa "Ah Gong". Jaslyn always call me Ah Gong... haha. Maybe bcos i used to nag at her. Her 6-mth old baby is soooo... cute.
