Wishes

On my way home last nite, i saw a beautiful green bird flyin' over my head. It reminded me of the guardian angel who guides n intercessors for men, each of them is thought to be a spiritual being tat is assigned to assist ppl here on earth. If i really haf a guardian angel, i hope she can answer my prayers. I'm quite moody today =(, however i still wish to list out some wishes here, no priority.

1) It's Shirley anniversary with bf, wish her happy always.
2) Selina (nurse) got another complaint fr the patient, hope she'll be fine very soon.
3) Wish Ade will have a safe and happy trip.
4) Wish piggy wyne will do well for her comin' exam.
5) Wish Cat will enjoy her Europe trip too.
6) Hope i can finish my work on time.
7) Wish mum will continue to stay healthy n enjoy her comin' birthday.
8) Wish Alex will get well soon fr his fingers n hand injuries.

I watched this clip several times but still love it immersely. I'm kinda bein' blown away and inspired to do this too... haha, maybe i should... its so fun isn't it? The clip shows how great this world can be... it touches my spirit like nothin' else on earth. It might move you to tears too =). Matt in the clip is dancin' everywhere he goes. Beach resort promotion

I've been to many diff places around the world, but i've never been to any beach resorts in my life. I've been ravin' over it for long, hallucinatin' tat one day i'd be able to get a couple of days off there. Bintan is one of the nearer ones tat can be accessed by ferry so its pretty cheap. I m sooo... interested now!!

Loathe to get drunk

I do like partyin', hangin' out with friends occasionally. But i loathe the feelin' of gettin' drunk. I loathe to have my physical n mental faculities bein' impaired by the excess of alcoholic drinks. I loathe to feel tired n woozy after.

Last nite I met two different groups of people to Zouk, basically Wyne and Jess together with their friends. I was quite saddened when i told Jess several times tat i had enough alcoholic drinks for the nite, n she still somehow wanted me to drink. My head was heavy n i cldn't really walk properly too... i loathe tat feelin'. Other than tat, i didn't enjoy takin' care of drunk friend too. Wing was drank n flatted on the ground weeks ago, n last nite Jess was roaringly drunk. She was talkin' alot in my ear while i was holdin' her to stop her fr fallin'. Anyway i cldn't really hear her as i wasn't very sober myself too. Last thing i rem i got a kiss fr each of them... haha a bonus? Jus kiddin'.

Despite sleepin' late, i woke up rather early this mornin' n met Xing for gym. I was still havin' quite a bad headache. However i enjoyed my lunch, the laksa (spicy noodle) and ice blended milo at Wang, which spiced up my day. =) Yes sometimes a simple thing can really make me jolly.

Waiting for the perfect one

Do you believe in fairytale romance? Did you ever leave your glass slippers somewhere and prayin' for the proverbial prince charming to seek you out and try if the shoe would fit? Love has long been glorified with so much grandeur in tales and movies, which made us view love as magical. This often fails to live up to its hype.

Yes some of us have been spendin' most of our life tryin' to search for the perfect one, and we ourselves do not really know what we are actually lookin' for in term of perfection. Perfection is a quality that mortals are deprived of. Imperfection is in fact the very essence of our humanity, it's the reason we strive and make ourselves better persons. Nobody is perfect and that's the reason why i always tell my friends not to feel inferior to people that are better at things than they are.

Ok even if you find the person most compatible to your personality, some situations would call for some conflict, one way or another. It's because no two persons are ever alike, and with differences come misunderstandings. The trick is in how we work out these differences to strengthen our relationships.

Some people choose to believe in destiny and simply wait for the one whom fate has planned for them. This phase sounds cool "Don't look for love, let love find you". It promotes non-action and idleness. But I don't believe in predestination which renders the concept of free will as moot. Please… you need a positive act and whole lot of adjustments to find the right partner, you don't wait for destiny. Rather, you forge your own tale. From today onwards, get to know the "someone" better, fight for it and tell the "someone" you like him/her if you are sure… stop sittin' there n wait for miracle to happen...

Farewell for Wing

Went to gym with Wing, n a so-called farewell dinner for him as he gonna head back to Hongkong on Friday mornin'. Anyway he'll be back.

Is plannin' a Bangkok trip with Jess but it depends on the nos of ppl goin'. Wing may not be able to make it. Our errands are mainly shoppin' n clubbin'. I luv Bangkok.

Wyne is sick, i hope she'll get well soon. She said she was thinkin' of me yesterday n it has become part of her routine each day to visit my blog. :) So sweet of her.

Selina (nurse) received a complaint fr a patient n she got so pissed off. Hmm... i advised her to cool down n solve the problem. Pls Selina ya gotta cool down.

Had a short chat with bb in the evenin', n then she rushed off hastily probably to meet her bf. :( I hope she enjoys herself. Bb be gd k?

3 happy things

Three happy matters early in the mornin' to perk up my day. 1st matter: Bumped into Xian (my cousin) very early in the mornin', she hit me on my arm n i was really astounded. She was headin' to sch n i "interrogated" her why she was so late, did she skip classes, etc. Was jus playin' with her n she was there lookin' worried n explainin' herself. :P

Ok 2nd matter: Received a short msg fr Shirley... so nice of her. Yes i do miss ya too bb. =)

3rd matter: Got an email fr Jesse (my American friend), n we fixed a date to meet which is the day i got back fr Las Vegas. I've not seen this buddy of mine for years, i can't miss this chance.

How not to get a parking ticket

Botox

Yesterday during dinner we (Professor Yow, our new Dr Huiqing, me, etc.) discussed about botox. For those of you who do not know wat is botox, let me give a brief explanation. Botox is a non-surgical treatment that can temporarily smooth frown lines and crows' feet in people of any ages. The procedure is rather simple with just a 5-10 minute of few tiny injections, no down time. Within couple of days there will be a noticeable improvement in the frown lines. And lately it has been used for other treatments like masseter hypertrophy (jaw reduction) and hyperhidosis (excessive sweating).

Wait, before you decide, you gotta know the effect is not permanent, it'll only last couple of months (abt 4-6 months), results may vary. Wat is botox exactly? It's a purified protein which reduces the activity of the muscles tat causes frown lines over time. And it costs around S$800 (Allergan brand) per treatment. AND please take note of the different brands, which i do not wanna comment it here, you can ask me personally. Side effects are really rare which i do not wanna mention much too. Some examples are droopy eyelids, muscle weakness, nausea, facial pain, soreness, etc.

Farewell dinner for Huiqing

Today we had a farewell dinner for our NEW DR Huiqing (jus graduated), who is my senior. He's gonna head to Korea next month to work. He brought along his friend this evenin', another DR Pan Yu. Our mentor Professor Yow together with his family were there too. I'll be invidious by singling out our mentor here, whom i first met 2 yrs ago. I've never seen him raisin' his voice at anyone b4, n he doesn't have this arrogant look and attitude like many of the professors around. He's a legend!! I enjoyed myself this evenin' not bcos of the dinner as i never like bbq, but bcos of the people i was with. They are really really... nice n awesome people.

We dined together, may be one last time, at East coast Ju Shin Jung korean bbq restaurant. I hope Huiqing will assimilate himself to Korea n i'll wish him all the best. The followin' are some of the pics i took durin' the dinner. Yes no pic of me bcos i was the one takin' pics. :P








Ade msged me to Zouk but i was really tired n smelt like bbq so i didn't wanna go.

How cld i miss the Yamaha grand piano fair 2008??!! I like this kinda event where ya can see lotsa beautiful grand piano. OMG i gotta wait for another year now!!


Have not been to the gym for two weeks, i feel sooo weak. I bought a swiss ball or so-called exercise ball or gym ball, 65cm. Its huge... up to my waist n its gd for workin' out, esp for abs. I used to use it pretty often at the gym in Sydney, but in Singapore its not so popular. Try it, i do luv it!!

Mid-autumn festival

Today aunt, family n friends went to Pasir ris park for a little celebration of mid-autumn festival. I vaguely remember wat is mid-autumn festival. It is on the 15th moon day of 8th Chinese lunar month, n wat i luv abt this festival is the mooncakes. :) I was supposed to meet Ade tonite but i gotta help take care of the kids so it was cancelled. Sorry Ade.

Party at Zouk

Last min i could make it to Zouk last nite. I had not been there for ages n i still luv the delightful ambiance there. But i had not been drinkin' tat much for long so my body kinda cldn't assimilate to the amt of alcohol in me, n my head was killin' me the whole nite. Jess, Mango, n Bryan were perfectly ok but Wing n i were relatively drunk. Yes as i always say doctors are nerds... i gotta denounce tat we r weak drinkers. :P Yesterday i asked some colleagues abt Zouk n ya wun believe it, noone knew abt Zouk till i explained to them. They were wonderin' if i was referrin' to a restaurant or a theme park.

It's FRIDAY again!!

Ok my blog is workin' now. It's friday again, i never fail to get into mood on friday, i m soooooooo... jolly rite now!!! Yes i gotta wake up really early every friday for my mornin' class (teachin'). But i like to see my students too who r so well discipline n hardworkin'.

Received a msg fr Shirley at 2am+ last nite n i saw it only this mornin'. There was a line "If only i could fly to Vegas with ya n tat would be a dream comes true". I luv this line, it sounds soooo... cool. She luv Vegas as much as me.

Today is Aunt's birthday n i m supposed to meet some friends for a celebration at Zouk tonite. Nvm lets see later.

The power of music

Sometimes I'd spend most of my time sittin' at the piano, lettin' my hands explore over the keys, and listenin' to every note like it was the most beautiful sound I've ever made. No one could steal this moment and pure joy from me. My music created a sense of nostalgia, longin', and sadness with poignant, bittersweet chords and progressions. I felt like nothin' really matters to me at tat moment. The world does revolve around each individual, and it only stops revolvin' on ya when your life ends.
