Forgiveness

Today i realised i was conned by a gd friend. People come in and out of our life, some let ya down and hurt yr pride, some bring ya on cloud nine. I always appreciate the time together bcos i never know how long tat time is gonna last. The more we know the person, the less we may understand him/her. Mum has been teachin' me for the past decades not to trust anyone (esp women), n i still haven't learnt it yet but i've learnt to forgive. Time flies, everything changes, friends seem to scatter, wat we left with is nothin' but the remainin' friends n luv ones who r still around us. I m not carryin' my anger or holdin' any grudge, not to anyone. Life goes on n i am happy with my life. When you forgive someone, you are actually settin' yourself free.

Promoting colgate toothpaste

Today took a pic with baby dada, n we were saying the word "E"... haha. We were advertisin' for colgate, the whitenin' toothpaste. :P Ok colgate pls contact us....

Jus kiddin'... i dun use colgate toothpaste... not sure abt baby dada. Ok serious now!!! These few days i m dashin' to finish a journal to be published... it's drivin' me crazy... so much work. I met Ivor yesterday, who was introduced by Desmond last week. He's a very nice guy... so I thought of collaboratin' with him to do some work, publish some papers, or jus casual discussion even in the end we haf nothin' to collaborate. I like meetin' nice ppl. But yesterday i felt so sorry bcos he was very busy, he only able to meet up around 7pm, n explained tat he was so busy, n anyway in the end we could only meet up for a while n he needed to go off. Hmm... maybe i shouldn't haf bothered him... he's a busy man. And i think i should haf asked him if he likes to collaborate beforehand, it was me who wanted to collaborate/discuss n maybe he doesn't want it at all... i feel so sorry... i shouldn't be so selfish.

Went joggin' with Bryan today. Days ago i ran with Chongyan, n last week i ran with Joel. I injured myself two weeks ago so i didn't really enjoy the run lately. Oh my birthday is near... so excited. =) It reminds me tat i can be a grandpa "Ah Gong". Jaslyn always call me Ah Gong... haha. Maybe bcos i used to nag at her. Her 6-mth old baby is soooo... cute.

Wat i did today

Met an old friend Chongyan for dim sum high tea, followed by cafe. Was extremely busy today but i really wanna spare out the time to meet up before i go Japan. I shall sleep less tonite.

We went to look for a friend after, however she didn't haf time for us so we left after a short while. Sometimes in life ya thought ya really know someone well.... but actually ya dun. Chongyan was rather disappointed too.

This is dada at Mcdonalds... so cute!! Took few days ago.
This evenin' Xian msged me to come over to mps to meet her and Xiang. I wasn't able to go bcos i was helpin' my uncle doin' some work till as late as 1am. Then she said i was so mean... never come when she was ard. =) Hmm... actually i really wish to see them before i fly off, but i reckon maybe its fate tat doesn't wan us to meet. When i was there... they weren't ard. Anw maybe this is better for me too.

Signboards for a laugh

I am tryin' to find leisure time (to laugh) from this hectic lifestyle around us. Laughter can help reduces stress and tension. As the famous Dr. Seuss pointed out, "From there to here, from here to there, funny things are everywhere!" Look at the signboards... they are really funny! =)

Ghost of Michael Jackson caught on tape

Haha... this is really hilarious. Some of them even claimed tat the ghost of Michael Jackson was doin' moonwalkin'. =) Anyway I do not wanna comment on tat. Jus enjoy the clip.

Overwhelmin' bill

Did i overspent last month? My credit card bill alone is $7,884.73. If i include the cash i spent i probably hit $10,000. Oh no, time to eat bread this month... =(

ONE°15 Marina with David

Went ONE°15 Marina Club for dinner with David, yes need to be a member to get in. We had buffets but we didn't eat much though. We scrolled the beach for a while before gettin' home.

This is David's personal jet ski, he is payin' $200 per month to park here... i would rather rent one if possible. We are thinking to rent a yacht overnight for my birthday's celebration, abt $5000... but it would be smthin' interestin'. I won't invite too many people in this case since it can only occupy abt 20 people.

Updates

Ok wat haf i been busy with? Hmm... preparin' for my tokyo and kyoto trip, writin' a journal, and negotiatin' on a landed property. If the developer is intransigent to reduce to a better price, then i really gotta give tat up. I'll be away so i dun haf much time left. Wat i like so much abt this house? Hmm... the huge land, 4-storey high, the huge balcony and roof garden, and the private lift in the house which costs abt $80k, ...its gd for my mum and dad who are not tat young anymore, i dun wan them to climb up the stairs too much.

Train4VocationalCareer

Train4VocationalCareer (http://www.train4vocationalcareer.com/?src=51A62) offers you a chance to change your live through accessible and affordable education. It gives those who have recently lost their jobs or are in search for new career opportunities information on beginning or going back to school through an accredited online college to receive a degree, or certificate in top-paying jobs and industries.

I like this phase: Skip the EXTRAS, cut right to the chase and a career!! A 4 years college may not be right for everyone. Many professions (e.g. nursing, cosmetology, etc.) don't require a 4 years degree. You may want to consider attending a vocational school.

Visiting old aunt

I decided to sleep over at old Aunt's place last night. Was chattin' and yarnin' over hours with her. Ok sometimes she's alittle uncouth and coarse in a way, e.g. complainin' abt the neighbors... how evil they are.... etc etc... and although i dun reckon its really true i still let her go on and on, while laughin' it off. She's 73-year old so jus let her be, and as happy as possible. She's a little absentminded so occasionally will ask the same question again and again, e.g. "Haf ya taken your dinner?" Yes she is very thoughtful and nice to me. I always wanna cherish the time with her, as much as i can. I enjoyed myself with her.

You know wat i did last summer?

Had not taken any pics for long, guess wat i did these two days? Yesterday I met up with one of my best friends Hendrik for movie x-men origins: Wolverine, at Plaza Singapura. I was nearly late... sorry mate. Being an x-men fan, i simply jus luv the movie, so i m not the right person to judge and rate this movie. =) It was jus engrossing to me n kept my attention for the entire two hours.

Today Irene and I went Marina at Keppel bay, which is the centrepiece of Keppel Bay's premier waterfront precinct. It is the only residential development in Singapore to have its own world-class marina on its very own private island.... pretty cool huh?

Next we went to cross the Henderson waves bridge, about 36 metres above Henderson road and one of the highest pedestrian bridges in Singapore. It is built to connect the two hills of Mount Faber and Telok Blangah Hill. The bridge has an unique wave-form and the curved ribs form alcoves that function as shelters with seats within. A good place to lose some weight.

Guardian angel

I didn't like this facebook thing as much as I do now. It's jus awesome how it helps to find your lost friends/classmates/colleagues, etc. Yesterday a sch mate (my junior) who we had never met for the past 10 yrs added and msged me. She wrote this:

"Well frankly speaking, ive been sort of asking ard about you for years, yes YEARS! hope this dun freak u out but u noe whenever im feeling down, u just happened to appear in my dream n console me. My goodness, we din even have a proper chance to know each other back then. haha... i see u as my guardian angel. then it got me to think and wonder how you are doing now...."

Its so touchin' tat somebody had actually been lookin' out for you for years, and even dreamt abt you. I feel flattered n honored tat she takes me as her guardian angel. Although it's jus a hallucination and i dun see myself as an angel, i m glad this helps her whenever she's feelin' down. To be frank i dun rem her at all but from now on i would like to know her more. Thank Eve. =)

Different groups of friends

Yesterday we had a school gatherin' in the evenin' but i couldn't make it... so sorry to my schoolmates who read this... i miss ya guys. Throughout the years of my life, i get to know many different groups of people around me.... and come to think abt it, its quite interestin' how i categorized these groups.

For a certain group, the people would jus non-stop talkin' abt the stock market... which are the lowest rated stocks, which are the best picks, wat are the current prices, etc. Its actually pretty interestin' if ya know some of these, like how it works. But do not get too engrossed into it... hmm... ya may get addicted. I've a friend (not to mention name) who won enough to get himself a condo but within 2 years he lost everythin'. So jus dun get too involved!

For another group, the people are jus sooo... committed to the political issues (local and international) and jus couldn't stop havin' political talks, sharin' their sassy, witty, brilliant and conservative opinions anywhere, e.g. on facebook, or friendster, blog, etc etc... wherever possible. Sometimes i find it too overwhelmed and uncomfortable. But if i could i would really like to nominate him/her to become the next senator, MP, or watever.... i believe they are really the ones.... they are jus amazin' and the country needs people like them.

Another group they are big nerds. They talk about work everywhere they go, even durin' lunch. I remember once i told some of them "I'm goin' for a birthday party at Zouk tonight." They asked "What is zouk? Is it a zoo or something?" Oh my God...!!! I luv ya people, ya are the saints. =)

Last group, we are workout buddies, we jog, run marathons, gym, swim, dragonboat, .boxin', ..blah blah.... together. This is my favorite group. =)

There are also some other groups which i dun wanna go any further, e.g. musical group, buffet group, movie group, etc.

With no doubt, all these groups of friends are nice people.

I dreamed a dream

This video is really heartwarmin', Susan Boyle, a typical batty 47-year old lady, went for an audition for Britain's got talent. Everyone was scornin' or expressin' scepticism when she walked on to the stage, stereotyped by her unpolished appearance -"traditional villager's look", age, etc. Simon Cowell (judge) didn't look too hopeful too when Susan said she wanna be a professional singer like Elaine Paige and when she said she would be singing I dreamed a dream by Les Miserables. But Susan's stunnin' voice changed the view of everybody, amazed the crowd at the bottom of the stage. It was the type of audition that makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck and the tears well in your eyes.

A good lesson for us to learn, do not be too cynical. Everyone has the right to fight for their dreams. See the changes in expressions from the judges and the standin' ovation from the live audience.

(Pause my music player on the bottom-right of the page before you play the video)

Sheddin' my tears

Today i visited a so-called friend, a 7-yr old gal who is sufferin' from some diseases (not gonna mention it here), and barely left with any hair. I find myself so weak, so vulnerable and useless in situation like this, i jus cldn't hold back my tears. I feel very uncomfortable until now... lyin' on the bed all day long, jus dun feel like movin' on with life, and facin' the cruel reality. I believe some of ya had this feelin' before, or perhaps not as weak as me. Maybe tat made ya afraid and tired of life, or afraid of tomorrow. It may also make ya cherish yr loved ones more. And i, after writing this entry all at once, am already brimmin' with tears. A man does not shed his tears easily, jus becos his true nature is untouched.
