Five senior members of City Harvest Church (one of Singapore's largest and most popular churches) were charged in court yesterday for misappropriating church funds, involving over S$50 million in total. The church had began to prosper on donations from members who were encouraged to set aside a tenth of their income to the church every month. Bryan and I had always been chatting about this few years ago, now it came true. The church founder's wife and her son are staying in a multi-million 29,000 sq ft estate in Hollywood Hills, with a swimming pool and space for 11 cars, with famous neighbors in area like Nicky Hilton, Amercia Ferrera, and Leona Lewis.
