Miyazaki trip

Went Miyazaki island with Kumazawa sensei for 3 days conference. Its a beautiful place although its not that popular. Many of the people have never heard of it, neither did i before this trip. On the first early evening, we walked 30 mins along the road and we couldn't see a single person along the way, can you imagine how quiet the place was. And because there are not many people in Miyazaki, the frequency of the buses and trains is about 1 to 2 hours. We couldn't stand the waiting time so we had lotsa walking from one place to another. So in short the trip was all about walking and onsen... nothing much we could do there.

Beautiful isn't it?

Conference venue...

We went to the xmas light up event... was raining though.

I bought some of these for my friends in Tokyo... i love some of them so much... oishii desu yo.

The beaches n resorts/hotels are magnificent. Most of the hotels come with onsen.
Wait... this is not onsen, just an artificial beach.

Buffet lunch, to be frank i didn't enjoy it, quality of food wasn't as good as i expected. And it wasn't cheap too.

We went to a famous beach too by train.

Updates

Jus a quick update for the past week. Hendrik is here in Tokyo for holiday, so i met up with him last Friday. We had sushi, followed by ramen for supper. Not used to typing English now, been readin', writin' n typin' japanese everyday, sigh. Met リさん for sushi last Sat, we had 21 plates, i think tat was incredible, the table was full of plates... i really enjoyed the food n the environment of tat restaurant.

Met up with Jesse today, abit of shoppin' n dinner, i bought a pair of shoes... didn't like the dinner though, some curry stuff.

Was quite pissed off with this msg left on my blog, a moron wif nothin' better to do was commentin' tat i look crappy, i m a loser, etc. Yes so wat? It has nothin' to do with you, i m not yr bf or so. Yes i look ugly, crappy, loser, etc etc... n so wat? I enjoy bein' ugly... it doesn't bother me. =) I thought of sendin' the IP address for investigation, but i reckon i shouldn't waste my time on this moron.

Science of heredity

Can you predict the traits of your future child? It really depends on who you gonna marry. Heredity operates on genes made of DNA placed on chromosomes, located inside a cell's nucleus. Each of us has 46 chromosomes (23 pairs), half from the mother and the other half from the father.

Predicting of my future child......

Freezing...

Today is the coldest day since i came over to Japan. In the morning i could see water vapor coming out from my mouth. I am still feeling cold now... I bought the Heattech-inner wear... the material is really thin but its supposed to keep ya warm. I'll try it tomorrow.

Finally i got full-mark for my Japanese quiz, jus once out of the four. =) Sensei wrote "よくできました" (did well). Tomorrow is quiz again... sigh. いそがしい (busy).

Life in Japan

I'm beginnin' to get used to life here in Japan. People are nice, friendly and polite, i like the food, and i love the weather (for the time being, not winter) too. My very gd friend Jesse is here too, he is really nice, always checking how i am doing so far in Japan, am i still alive, etc. My colleagues are awesome too, although they barely able to speak English, they always make the effort to go lunch or dinner with me. I really wish before i leave the place, i am able to communicate with them in Japanese... tats the thing i really wanna achieve here, and i am working hard on it although learnin' languages is not my virtue.

Yes everyday my time is so fully-occupied, busy runnin' errands, e.g. mornin' Jap class everyday, afternoon work, etc. Weekend for e.g. today... i will have to do wat i would never have to do in Singapore, just to name a few: Change bedsheet, wash clothes and blanket, dry them, vacuum the floor, clean the furnitures, etc.... tired tired.... =)

Men can multi-task too

Powerful typhoon approaching

Today a powerful typhoon will strike Tokyo... all of us haf been warned. The violent storm is likely to be the first typhoon to make landfall in Japan since 2007 (read channelnewasia: http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/afp_asiapacific/view/1009776/1/.html). But i still gotta go for Japanese class soon, early in the morning and its far away from where i am staying. Its freezing outside, the rain has not stopped for the past two days... when can we see the sun again? Jesse said he hopes the trains will have to stop so he need not go for work. =) Ok i jus woke up, gotta prepare for class.
