Angeline's letters

I found some letters in my drawer, all for me when i was away oversea. There r quite a few from this friend of mine Angeline, who i vaguely remember. She wrote so much in every of her letters... includin' jokes for me... so cool! :) I find the jokes quite lame... hahaa... but i really appreciate wat she had done for me. She must be quite disappointed tat i didn't reply, not knowin' tat i wasn't around. The letters are only bein' read after years. I m sorry Angeline... but i dun even haf a chance to tell ya tat now, n doubt we could recognize each other even if we bumped on the street. Still wanna thank ya here Angeline! May God be wif ya!

Rethinkin' abt our previous composed song

Few months ago i composed this song with the help of Chris n performed at OCC. The 1st chinese song tat i composed... really cool. May not haf a chance again... been thinkin' abt it today. Today(as on friday) i got jealous of smthin' tat i shouldn't be jealous abt. I saw her talkin' to a guy gleefully. :(

Jesse called fr Tokyo

Jesse who was one of my best friends in Aust, called me from Tokyo. He's an American currently teaching in Japan. I miss him soooo much, so jolly to hear his voice. Ya know we used to hangout together during uni time, goin' to the gym, joggin', beach, buffets, etc etc. I miss those days... n he's plannin' to visit Singapore maybe in mid August. :) Tat wld be sooo awesome!! Currently busy writin' my thesis... i'll work hard.

Ade is comin' back this Sunday, i thought was Friday initially. I m happy too. :)

Bumped into Xian on train

Today i was on the train at abt 8.40am, headin' 2 uni. Bumped into Xian... she was sittin' there readin' her notes. I stood in front of her for a while before i sat down beside her n she didn't notice me initially... haha... was hilarious at tat moment. She had her Bahasa indo's oral exam this morning... so looked kinda teased. I hope she'll do well.

I gotta finish my report asap. Met Prof Yow today n discussed alittle. Got some plans ahead... i gotta work harder fr now on!!!

Beautiful weddin' gown

Today went Serangoon n happened to see this beautiful weddin' gown. Was hallucinatin' if this looks gd on her. Hahaaaa... who is the her? Went joggin' wif Bryan at Pasir Ris park today. Then as usual went to the coffee shop there for chit chattin'. He's really an awesome friend. :)

Dinner at Din Tai Fung with Desmond

Yesterday evenin' met up with mps people. Didn't see them for quite awhile. Today they went sushi n National day preview. I didn't go, i dunno y either, perhaps i wanna put more time on my thesis. I met Desmond at Orchard for dinner, at Din Tai Fung restaurant. Then we shopped for awhile. I saw Cherry n her bf at Cineleisure, actually wanted to say hi to her but we were in diff direction so i didn't manage to. She is as usual a happy gal. :) Chatted with Ade online, she will be back next Friday. Welcome bk Ade. :)

Post-operation appt & my laptop is back!

Went SGH for my post-operation appt. Dr Chee said she cld hardly see a scar there... n she said well done (probably to herself :P). Got back my laptop today... finally after 13 days!! Yesterday chatted wif Xian at uni, on msn. She was hilarious... though she always look so cold. I asked abt her birthday n she told me she will be expectin' a present fr me. Not sure if i'll be ard at tat time... but i'll definitely rem... recorded it into my pda phone. I felt really happy talkin' to her for the past few times... i noticed myself smilin' away though i was in really bad mood (too many things happened which i dun wanna get started wif). She perked up my day... thank Xian. Our conversation:

Me: When is yr birthday?
Xian: (date), why?
Me: Jus wonderin' cause i may not be ard.
Xian: I m expectin' a present fr you.
Me: Ok...you huh!
Xian: You better rem... or...
Me: Ok i'll write it down.
Xian: Gd boy!
Me: 1st time I saw u i thought this gal wld never smile.
Xian: Tats so not true. I'm jus reserved towards strangers. Its bcos initially u weren't friendly to me too.
Xian: If not u wld haf seen me smile more!

No laptop. Kai is not a ruffian!

Didn't blog for days... haf not got bk my laptop fr the service centre yet. Met Beeling on Friday for sushi dinner as she was in depression, but she's better now. Really happy to meet Kai recently, a childhood friend of mine. We used to be very close, played games (nintendo) n learned basketball together etc. After tat i moved hse, went oversea etc... so we lost contact. After all these yrs, i finally heard abt him fr mum's friends (some old neighbors). Everyone jus exclaimed tat i should stay away fr him. My conversation wif mum:

Mum: Why do ya haf to mix wif him(Kai)? He's a ruffian, he doesn't even haf a PSLE cert, he smokes, he works for loan shark, in nite clubs n also an ex-convict... ya know it! Come on son, ya r among the best, ya r a scholar, ya haf everythin', we always gif ya the best for everythin'... dun mix wif ppl like him.
Me: Wait mum, dun ya rem Kai? The time he spent in our hse... i believe he's not a bad guy in nature. N no matter wat he is, it doesn't matter... we r friends... he wun harm me.
Mum: Jus stay away fr him!! If not dun ever call me mum!!! Its for yr gd!!!!
Mum forbid me fr seein' him, tats so preposterous! He shouldn't be scorned!!

Meetin' Bryan every Monday for joggin' in the evenin'. It gonna be fun! :) Bryan is so nice, he's comin' Pasir Ris to jog wif me. Thank Bryan, ya r the best!!

Back to sch

I m back to sch today. My little surgery went well, it didn't hurt to be operated upon bcos i went to sleep n felt no pain (anesthesia) while the surgeon was doin' wat she gotta do. When i woke up fr the operation, it wasn't pain at all too, as it was jus a very minor surgery, not even a single stitch. Thank ya Dr Chee... ya r excellent.

Jasmine's birthday party on Sat, but i wun be able to attend... wanna haf more rest n bbq atmosphere is not gd for my eye. I hope Selina wld forgive me too tat i said smthin' harsh. I dun wan her to waste her precious time on me.

Farewell dinner with Wing

Wing is leavin' on Tue, back to Hongkong, then to Beijing Microsoft for attachment... so upset. He's one of my best friends in uni. I cldn't really sleep last nite, woke up at 4.20am n played my electrical piano (of cos putin' on my headset). We met at Orchard yesterday afternoon, went to the Lego's shop... our childhood fantasy. I was rave abt Lego... n was so indulged by mum... she bought me two huge castles n a pirate boat, etc etc. Wing exclaimed tat he got only those petite little ones... not as fortunate as me. His family used to be quite poor, struggled to make ends meet. Yeah I gotta admit tat i m really lucky to haf mum who always give me the best. She's the best mum in the world. When i had minor hair loss (due to stress), she got me the best doc (director of tat field), n now i m fine. We went to the Mac store at Herald too, the Mac PCs look cool... but i m not into Mac.



We went steamboat in the evenin' at Geylang. $21 per person n we didn't really like it, not worth the price.

Down on luck! Melancholy mood.

Do ya believe in luck? Let me tell ya wat happened last week.
1) My external harddisk went down for no reason, all my data was lost.
2) Eye's problem, phthalmic surgeon fixed a surgery next week. Although very minor n doesn't even need a single stitch, but still i loathe it.
3) Laptop went down after i turned off the switch. Sent for servicin'.
4) Best friend is leavin' next week, n i wun be able to send him off. :(
5) Performance ruined, i cldn't go after all these months of rehearsal. Noone blames me but i feel really guilty n miserable. Dun feel like playin' piano again!
6) Friday wanted 2 see someone... but ended up...!!

I put the personal msg "melancholy mood... etc" on my msn. Some friends sent their rgds.... thank ya so much, esp Kaixian, Serene, Jasmine, Selina, Hendrik, Angie, CY, Sharon, Zhangli, Xue, Daniel. I m really really happy.

To Singapore National Eye Centre @Outram

Went to meet Prof Chee S P at National Eye Centre wif my mum. She's an Ophthalmic surgeon who inspected my eyes. Tat's a little tiny thing very close to my eyelid tat needs 2 to remove, in case it gets bigger in future. Its sooo... tiny tat it can scarcely be seen, but still Prof Chee suggested to get it removed. I feel quite vexed... out of sudden i gonna go for surgery. I m not goin' for performance, i called Chris n told him abt it... i m not in the right disposition to perform at this moment. I hope they can forgive me. Chris wasn't in a fume n he asked me to haf a gd rest n they'll visit me after... he's marvelous. Wing is leavin' Singapore on Tue, which is the day of my surgery... i feel very upset too. He is one of my best friends in uni. :(



Went for a walk at Chinatown wif mum after. Had not been there for ages. Nothin' much there.


This new temple is quite famous at Chinatown. We went in n i reckon it looks really cool.

Eye infection & Bugis with Hendrik

My external harddisk went on strike n i lost some of my data... so vexed. I went to uni tryin' to get one, but i didn't find wat i wan. Went to uni clinic to check my infected eye... the doc referred me to the eye specialist at SGH... wat a day! It reminded me of mum today. She always get me the best specialist, director of which department... etc... etc... even for minor illness. I've never thank her n already taken it for granted. Thank ya so much mum.

I met up wif Hendrik at Bugis after sch. I bought an external harddisk at Sim Lim. I dislike this place... hardly wanna go there, but i gotta admit there r more variety there. I jus find some of the salemen there vicious n hideous... haf 2 be really careful. Had a gd dinner wif Hendrik, followed by desert somewhere else.

East coast with Bryan & hilarious msg fr Kaixian

Supposed to meet up with Serene this afternoon but i was kinda tired n totally forgot abt it. I m soooo... sorry Serene, forgive me. Today on the train to sch, i msg Kaixian n she replied me:

Me: So bored on train, hey why ur mum know i m a nurse? Haha... but let her know i haf no fetish for nurses, n not pedophile too... i m a gd nurse... haha. Cheers! (note: I m not a nurse, but we joked last time tat i was a nurse.)
Kaixian: No lah. I told her abt the joke abt introducing you as Dr mah. She thinks you're quite lame not pedophilic. Can relax :)
Me: So ya gossiped abt me to ur mum. I'll tell my mum abt ya too... hahaha.
Kaixian: Not gossip. Ok lah.

Met up wif Bryan after sch, we went East coast for dinner. We had satays, laksa n other stuffs... really cool... had not been so "unhealthy" n "insanitary" for long. :) We walked ard for awhile... so much to chat abt. Bryan is an awesome friend, both in character n look. Look at his pic? He looks sooo Tom cruises. Always feel very happy chattin' wif him.

In debt? :)

After the bbq on Friday, i was immersed into this homographies research+implementation, tryin' all ways/solutions to perform an ideal homographies mappin' (pickin' the right pts is very impt). Came out with this solution: formin' a kinda convex hull, eliminatin' those pts within a triangle etc. The cosine rule cosA = (b2+c2-a2)/2bc is very useful for this. I finished it this morning together with a report to send to my supervisor. Imagine i slept like 4 hrs for the past few days...but really glad tat i finished it this weekend. :) I chatted with Ade last nite online. She asked some bizarre ques like "Who do ya luv?" She was kinda in a gd mood last nite... i dunno why. Selina msg me jus now...n i feel so sorry again tat i can't meet her for lunch/dinner later.

Oh my God... my credit card's bill is here... n again it reaches $3000 this month. I realised i spent more than $1000 last month jus for foods... hahaaa. Then why am i still tat slender? I reckon those who went out wif me for lunch/dinner grabbed most of the foods... ya know who ya r? Hahahaa... jus kiddin'! To all my friends: Lets haf breads 4 lunch/dinner this month... n your treat... thank ya so much. :)
